MY BIRTHDAY SNUCK UP ON ME
I seem to have a lot on my mind these days because out of nowhere, i received birthday messages. "Happy birthday Lea!" "Yette, happy birthday!" Wow! Is it really July 10 already? Am i really 29 now? Well, seems like it is. One more year before the big 3-0! WOW!
What is a birthday really? I see it as a ME day. An excuse for me to be spoiled, to be pampered and for Ruther to do my every bidding. Hehehe. But birthdays are special. I believe God picks a particular day for us to be born. A special day. I like July 10. July is a rainy month and I love cold weather. And 10 is a round number. No wonder I'm obssessive-compulsive!
I feel so blessed. I am thankful to God for the simple things in life. I am grateful for a loving husband and 2 wonderful boys. I am glad for the many friendships I have made through the years. I am blessed and I am happy. Thank you Lord for all these and so much more.
So yeah, I sure don't mind that my birthday snuck up on me today. And i don't mind I'm a year older. Maybe 10 years from now I still would not mind. So, I hope to have a happy day, spend my 29th year wisely and enjoy life with my family even more.
