Last night (or was it early this morning? I was not particularly sure about the time because I did not have my glasses on and the room was dark) I woke up to the room shaking (I'm a light sleeper). It took a few seconds for me to realize that it was an earthquake. I was wondering at first if I should wake Ruther up because well, it kinda scared me a bit. I didn't know what to do so I stayed in bed and waited for it to abate. I had no idea if this earthquake was the up-and-down or side-to-side kind (I wrote about this in an earlier post) but i think it was more of the side-to-side because before I awoke, it felt like someone was shaking me. As I spent a few minutes awake in bed feeling the earthquake, i wondered if the ceiling lamp (it looks like a ball) would fall on top of me if the quake would get stronger. I also listened for some sounds outside and in the nearby apartments because if I heard running and shouting, hey, I wasn't not gonna stay in bed waiting for the ceiling to fall on me (please excuse the active imagination). Anyway, pretty soon, the shaking stopped and I went back to sleep.
I told Ruther about the earthquake this morning and he didn't feel a thing. When he checked this earthquake site in the 'net, sure enough, there was an earthquake around these parts. The time recorded was 3:18 am. I rarely experience an earthquake so this is still quite new to me. Maybe I'll have another earthquake experience before I go home. Hopefully, it won't be the disastrous kind. =D

earthquakes in Japan scares me, you just never know if it's the ordinary kind of quake or if it's the BIG earthquake they've been predicting about.
Everytime it quakes I pray.... :D
