THE PURPOSE OF FUN IS TO HAVE IT. - Anonymous

We had great difficulty getting up this morning. We slept late last night and so, when the alarm clock rang this morning, we snoozed for a few more minutes until we REALLY had to get up. As usual, Ethan was the last to wake. After getting ready, we headed for the station and onto our destination: a community center at Kozukue. I was looking forward to today's badminton game because we haven't played for several Saturdays now. I miss the exercise. I was pleased to know that not many players came and so, we had the court to ourselves and played without interruption. I had a great game. I did have some very lousy serves which irritated me a bit, but my returns were pretty good. I had a great time playing. It wasn't really a competition but we did some scoring and it added to the fun. The boys had a great time playing with the basketball and running around.

The community center is a nice place. On the second floor, there's a basketball court, badminton court and several tables for ping-pong. In the same floor, there's a library, eating area, a daycare center, and a study room. I haven't been to the 3rd floor and I think the first floor is for senior citizens. We have a community center at Tokaichiba too but Ruther's friends prefer to play at Kozukue.

By 12, we were hungry and so, we headed for Kamoi and we ate at - you guessed it - KFC. The boys just love to eat chicken. We had biscuits to go with it and Ethan ate heartily. Nikki did not have an appetite and I guessed he was just tired and sleepy.

After lunch we headed for the apartment of Ruther's officemate which was only a few meters away. We figured, the boys needed their nap and they would be more comfortable at the apartment. True enough, they slept until 2pm. We had to leave after that to go to Yokohama to check the digital cameras at a store called Yodobashi. My sister wanted a new camera and we wanted to get a good one for her. So, we headed for Kamoi station. Ruther bought me coffee at a vending machine there. The can said Rainbow Mountain Blend. That was a bit weird for me. I mean, I would never have thought of coffee as "rainbow" or would even associate it with rainbows. But that's just me. I enjoyed the warmth of the coffee so it was okay.

At Yodobashi Yokohama, we spent quite some time there looking at the cameras (we were torn between a Nikon and an Olympus) until Ruther and I decided on an Olympus Camedia for my sister. I'm sure she'd love it.

Since it was getting dark, we decided to go home and on the way to Yokohama Station, I saw this display at a toy store. It was cute but I think they needed some underpants. =D

It was tiring, but a great family day. I think no one will sleep late tonight.
