TIME FOR A TRIM
My mom has been complaining about Ethan's long hair. She was asking why he did not have his hair cut yet at this time. Well, it's not because we don't have time. Ethan hates the barber shop. No, he detests it. The last time we were at a barber shop, he kept on yelling and screaming and even tried kicking the barber just so he won't get near him. He hates the buzzing sound of the electric razor. I can't very well ask the barber to use scissors because Ethan is very fidgety and I don't want my little boy to get a nick. Those toddler hair salons aren't any good either. He still puts up a tremendous fuss. So, while the hairdresser did the trimming, I had to hold him while he screamed and kicked and writhed in my arms. Well, after looking at several of his latest pictures, I had to admit that his hair was indeed too long. So, I decided to cut his hair myself. Today. No, I'm not an experienced hairdresser. But I have done some trimming on my boys in the past years. The result of Ethan's haircut? It's okay, I suppose. It could have been a lot better without his fidgeting and complaints but I'm happy with the outcome. Hopefully, it'll be another month before he needs another hair cut. =p

My mom always used to trim my bangs between haircuts when I was little. I always hated it but was too afraid that if I moved around too much I'd get stabbed with the scissors. :)
Have you tried a little innocent bribery? For every 5 minutes he lets you cut his hair he gets a cookie, or something like that?
