SIZZLING...

It has started to warm up these past few days. We did have some rains over the weekend, but it did very little to cool the air. Despite the rise in temperature, it's still pretty much tolerable and having a fan on (full blast, mind you), a nice cool bath and something really really cold to drink REALLY does wonders. I'm starting to wonder what it will be like when we're smack in the middle of summer (at around mid-April to mid-May). Maybe then the aircon will be of some (good) use. The electricity bill is already so disturbing at this time...

.....

Still haven't thought of a summer sports program for the boys. I would really want them to have some exposure but I want them to have a trial session first. Maybe they would like to learn to swim. My only concern is that they might become sooo tanned if the pool is not the indoor type. When my siblings and I were little, we would head off for the beach and just stay in the water almost the entire day. By the time we got out, my mom said we were like charcoals. I know, she likes to exaggerate, but well, that's what she says. And she has the photos to prove it. =P

Nikki had his haircut today. My mom complained that his hair looked terrible when we came back from Japan. I told her the Japanese people didn't seem to mind since they usually have all sorts of hairstyles that you would not know if it was intentionally styled or not. But I still decided to have his hair cut since it's been getting a lot warmer and I wanted him to be comfy (without the long hair). He seemed to like the haircut. But he looks like a little boy now and not my baby any longer. Boo hoo.... =(

My mom and I are planning a Singapore trip in June. Why in June and not earlier? Because the rates will be a lot cheaper. Off-peak rates start in June here in the Philippines. That's when classes start so we want to take advantage of that. Also, lately, some local airlines have been giving promo fares that are so ridiculously cheap that my mom (who is also a travel buff) wants us to make early reservations so we are guaranteed plane seats in June. There will be 6 of us going: my mom, my dad, my younger brother, me and the boys. My sis is not sure of her shedule yet so she's still not sure if she'll be coming. This is a big thing for us since we haven't travelled as a family for sooooo long. I think the last time was in the '80s. So I am REALLY looking forward to this and I hope this happens...
