GOOD FRIDAY

Today is Good Friday. It is a holiday here. In the Philippines, it is called Mahal na Araw or Biyernes Santo. Many of the shops and stores here in Zamboanga are closed and the people are mostly at churches or at home, spent in quiet contemplation. It's not a holiday in Japan so Ruther went to work. But he did say he will be hearing mass after work so that is good of him...

Right now, I am watching the movie The 10 Commandments. I love this movie. When I was little, we did not have cable and I remember a local channel showing this movie every year on Holy Week. So yes, I know this movie very well. It is very insightful and I hope Nikki and Ethan will learn to like it as well when they grow up and appreciate the story...
