Finally it is Easter Sunday. Today the Christ has risen. Alleluia! =D

The boys and I are wonderfully tanned. We had a great time at the pool party yesterday. From the moment we arrived until we left at around 7pm, the boys spent almost the entire time in the water. I really don't mind their dark color now. It's fine as long as they had tons of fun. Nikki was quite daring and would even get into the water from the deep end of the pool. That would somehow make me catch my breath but I was not too worried because my cousins were in the pool and I was sure no harm would come to him or Ethan. Ethan was a bit wary at the start. He spent the first few minutes sitting on the steps and just splashed water around. But once I got in with him and he was in his floatie, he became more confident and pretty soon, he was floating away on his own and playing with the other kids. I was really happy that they were not afraid of the water and being on their own. I was thinking of enrolling Nikki in a swim class this summer but I think he's still not ready for some serious lessons. I taught him the sitting dive yesterday and when he landed in the water and surfaced, he immediately asked for his floatie once more. So, okay, maybe not this summer. Don't want to traumatize the boy.
I have sunburned shoulders. I forgot to reapply sunblock so boohoo to me. My bad. I haven't had a sunburn for so long I forgot it was so troublesome. Firstly, the location is a bummer because my bra straps chafes the burn a bit. Secondly, the boys keep on grabbing me by the shoulders and it really HURTS! So, I hope the burn goes away soon... =P
.....
This afternoon, before the boys and I got into their small pool, we spotted a bird in the water. I gathered it fell from the nearby mango tree and eventually died there. But when we asked someone to get it out of the pool, we discovered that it was still alive. We think it was a young bird learning how to fly and after falling into the pool with its wings all wet, couldn't get itself out. So, we tried to dry the poor little thing as best we could and then placed it on a little tree where it would be safe from all our dogs. I hope it learns to fly soon. The world is a dangerous place. Too bad I didn't take a photo of the little bird.
Anyway, after that incident, we just splashed around in the little pool (the water was wonderfully warm) and then when we got tired of doing that, Nikki and I just decided to play with our imagination and saw things in the floating clouds. We saw a letter Y, a horse, cotton candy, a letter U, a hand, and other things. It was fun to see Nikki use his imagination. He's usually very straight-laced so I was glad to see him try at least.
