JACK-O'-LANTERN
Arts and crafts time! We made jack o' lanterns out of old CDs and construction paper. I thought that we could make lots of these and decorate the boys' room in time for Halloween. I have been meaning to bring the boys trick or treating. Here in the Philippines, that is usually done at the malls (during regular mall hours of course) because only few villages and subdivisions organize trick or treating at their homes. I have yet to ask around where my boys could do their trick or treating. I think it will be fun for them to experience that this year. =D

Your son is darling, Yette.
That was interesting to hear they do trick-or-treating at the mall there.
We've always enjoyed dressing up the kids and taking them trick-or-treating, but because it falls on a Wednesday this year, our church AWANA Club is doing a really fun activity instead. Everyone is going to dress up like Cowboys and we'll have some sort of "Cowboy Stew" for the kids to eat outside over a campfire...which will then be followed by "Trunk-or-treating", which is where all the Club Leaders have candy (donated by folks in our church) in their car trunks in the church parking lot, and the kids can go around from car to car and get candy just as they would trick-or-treating. We're really looking forward to it.
thanks becky! yeah well, the Philippines wasn't gung-ho about halloween since a few years ago. we don't have the nightly trick or treating becase parents are concerned about safety so malls thought of having it there instead. it's okay i guess except there are a LOT of people at the malls and it gets so crowded! anyway, i think our trick or treating is so creative! =D keep me updated on that, okay? =D
