A WEEK

I can't believe that Ruther has been home for a week already! This morning, as Ruther was getting ready for work I just suddenly realized that it was Friday today and that he arrived a week ago! So I hugged him from behind and said, "You know, sweetie, you've been home a week now." And he gave me a kiss. Wasn't that sweet? =D

Tonight, Ruther and some of his co-workers will be visiting the remains of his former officemate who passed away a few days ago. When this guy was in Japan, he suffered a massive stroke that incapacitated him and affected part of his brain. He was practically a vegetable after that and until a few days ago, Ruther told me that it seemed as though he was just waiting for his father to come home from overseas so he could rest in peace. But apparently, his body could not hold on long enough and he expired 2 nights ago. So sad. =( The funeral home is not too far from home so I told Ruther that while he's there, the boys and I will spend some time at a nearby fastfood restaurant so the boys could play on the slides and then we could all go home together. He said he was fine with that so I think I have to get ready now since it's already 6pm. I'm planning on paying for a mass for Ruther's former officemate this Sunday. Hopefully, he and his family will find peace with God.
