Friends

I have always wanted to believe that I am a friendly person. When I see someone at the mall or at church, I won't wait for that person to call my attention. I would either approach her or call out to her. I've always been like that. (Enemies are a different matter entirely but fortunately, I have very few of those.) When I was younger, I thought that friendship was solely based on years of kinship, on memories forged, on exchanges of secrets. In the cyberworld, friendship transcends that. Even if I recognize faces merely from photos, or relate to stories from posts, or hear about a family affair in another country, it still affects me somehow. Through this whole new world of cybertechnology, lives are touched in many ways. And for that, I am thoroughly grateful. I am thankful that I have made many friends and I appreciate you all. So thank you.
