A TRIP

We are planning a family trip next weekend! Ruther wanted us to spend some time together as a family and thought that a trip to a resort would be fun for all. We previously decided on Boracay since I haven't been there yet but after reading about some flooding problems (you can read about it here) we thought of changing our destination to Bohol instead. Not only can we have fun at the beach, but we can also immerse ourselves in some nature and historical trips. So I think we're really getting our money's worth with this place.

Here is where Bohol is located:

As you can see, it is somewhere in the middle of the Philippines. Tagbilaran is where the airport is located and we will be arriving there at 7am on Friday. The place where we're going to stay is on Panglao Island, that separate island you see at the bottom. You can always click on the map for a closer look. =D I am already trying to fix our itinerary because I just want everything to go smoothly when we get there. So far, these are our planned activities/sight-seeing trips:

Chocolate Hills
Tarsier Watching
Sikatuna National Park
Baclayon Church and Museum
Dolphin and Whale Sighting (seasonal though)
Punta Cruz Watchtower
Loboc River Cruise
Hinagdanan Cave
Mag-aso Falls

and if we still have time,

Butterfly Dome, Bohol Bee Farm, Loay Bolo-making and Nipa- weaving industry, and Bilar Man-Made Mahogany Forest

I am already looking forward to seeing the place!! We've reserved a room in a place along Alona Beach (on Panglao Island). I am also looking forward to snorkeling with Ruther, just like we did during our honeymoon which feels like ages ago! Anyway, I'm sure the boys will have loads of fun as well. The place we're staying is cheap at only P1500 per night for the room so that is a relief for our expenses because we will only spend P3000 for 2 nights. We still have to have money for the tours around Bohol because going around on a rented vehicle will be costly than usual. But still, for this new adventure, I'm sure it will be well worth it. I'm keeping close tabs on our expenses though. Have to make sure we won't overspend and have regrets going on this excursion.

See you soon, Bohol!

This sounds absolutely AMAZING! When my husband finally finishes grad schools and gets a job, we will definitely be going on more family vacations :) !!

Enjoy your vacation!
