SATURDAY OUT

We went out today. Ruther wanted to buy some Wii games so we went to Greenhills. We left the house at 11am so by the time we got there it was lunchtime. Ruther was craving for Racks which was fine with me. We haven't eaten at Racks for a long time now (stores have dwindled to only three in Manila). We ordered some fried chicken and fries for the boys and Ruther and I got the beef ribs with garlic rice, coleslaw, beans and cornbread on the side. It was such a sumptuous meal. And I really do love eating out with my family even if it can be a bit chaotic at times. Anyway, after lunch, we got some ice cream for the boys and then went to the shops to look for the Wii games. It was around 130pm, the boys got sleepy so we went to the food court area where there were benches while Ruther went around the shops. The boys slept and I went to a nearby magazine stand and got a Family Circle magazine and Woman's Day magazine. I whiled the time away reading. The boys awoke at around 3pm and after a quick visit to the restroom, we went to Toy Kingdom to check on some toys for the boys. We could not find anything really nice, but we got some playdough for Ethan and some bubble juice for Nikki. Then we looked at some stalls and Ruther bought some cute shirts and got one for me. On the way to the parking lot, I bought a couple of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to bring home. I had quite a difficult time choosing which doughnut to buy because they all looked too sweet and sugary (and this from a sweet tooth!). Anyway, I picked the original glaze and when I tried one, it was okay. Nothing really spectacular (pardon to all Krispy Kreme lovers) but I just found it way too sweet.

When we got home it was around 7pm. Ruther asked me a while ago what our plans are for tomorrow. We still have to decide where we're going. My feelings about this is bittersweet because I know that all these family trips will just make Ruther's absence next week all the more painful. I can't even count the days left before his departure. I'm sorry if I sound all mopey again but I truly can't help it. If I sound like this for the next ten days, shoot me, will ya?
