No, it's not some kind of mall, nor is it a fancy boutique. It's the Filipino store at Kannai. Oh yes, happy times are here again.
Ruther went there the other night after work to purchase some much-needed food supply for the boys and me. Since we have not been Japanized yet, we still miss the good ol' things from home. So, he got the boys' favorite chocolate milk Chuckie (somehow the boys don't like the other milk chocolates; i think it's the packaging), a bottle of soy sauce (the soy sauce sold in the supermarkets here taste differently from the ones we have at home), cans of sardines, Maling luncheon meat, Purefoods corned beef, sisig, a bottle of UFC banana catsup (yup, BANANA catsup) and a couple of bags of Boy Bawang (crunchy corn bits - garlic flavor). We already cooked some luncheon meat and the boys drank the first carton of Chuckie. I also opened a bag of Boy Bawang yesterday and munched on it while watching Band of Brothers. =D I would have wanted Ruther to buy more stuff but well, things are not necessarily cheap around here so had to control myself from adding needless stuff to the list. Oh well, another trip next month would have to do.
I wish this store was nearby... =P

ohhh I love UFC ketchup...
yup Maling is still the best luncheon meat hehehehehe...
But I kinda prefer Marca Pina soy sauce over Silver Swan ( I think it's much tastier..What do you think ;P )
Anyway, I totally agree it will be heaven to have a Philippine store nearby... :D
hello!
we didn't have a choice with the soy sauce brand. there was only one in the store. but frankly, i would have taken any Phil-made soy sauce rather than use the soy sauce at the supermarkets here. =D
