TAGAYTAY

Last night, I was going through most of our past family photos just to reminisce. I was in the 2002 folder when I saw our photos at Tagaytay (a city 3 hours away south of Manila). Nikki was still so tiny and Ethan was nonexistent. It was a family trip because my mom came all the way from Zamboanga and one day, she told us that she wanted to buy some plants there (most of the plants and flowers there are really cheap). So off we went to accommodate her and of course, it was great to get away from the metropolis and pollution and noise. After mom bought her precious plants, we went around, enjoyed the cool air, had lunch, bought some goodies and fruits to bring back to Manila (oh boy! who could NOT buy those yummy fruits beside the roads?) and took photos of Taal Volcano the smallest active volcano in the world. I hope to revisit this place when we go back home. =D

Here are some photos: (June 2002)

here's Nikki as a baby

view of Taal Volcano from Tagaytay, it's a volcano within a lake, that's located in another lake.
weird, huh?

This is an image of Taal volcano, near Manila on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The black area in the center is Taal Lake, which nearly fills the 30-kilometer-diameter (18-mile) caldera. The caldera rim consists of deeply eroded hills and cliffs. The large island in Taal Lake, which itself contains a crater lake, is known as Volcano Island. The bright yellow patch on the southwest side of the island marks the site of an explosion crater that formed during a deadly eruption of Taal in 1965.

What an amazing place to be!!

The red thing on June's collar is her e-tag. It's an electronic dog tag. Rather than just having a name and telephone number, maybe an address, the electronic version can have all that plus vaccination information, email, and anything else I want to type in there. It was my husband's idea...he's into everything electronic. :)

hello! hello! =D

i think the e-tag is so cute! am just not sure if it's available in the Phils. =P i don't have a doggie right now. our dalmatian passed away a few years ago and since we live with my in-laws i didn't want to get another dog (i would loooove to get a pug!)because the place is small and i didn't want the dog to have limited play space. but after staying here in japan and seeing all the cute dogs around with their clothes and accessories, it made me want to own a dog once more. but this time, no more big dogs because well, as much as i love them (my cousin has a chow!) it would be hard to give it attention because i'm already pretty busy with my family. =D
well, hopefully, i'll get a nice dog this year. =D am keeping my fingers crossed...
