REALLY NOW...

I took this photo last Sunday. For those who can't understand Tagalog "banana con yelo" or saging con hielo is a cold treat that is basically slices of banana (saba variety -which is the native banana), some shaved ice, milk and sugar. Sometimes some tapioca is added to increase the texture. Halo-halo is a similar dessert but is made up of more ingredients like sweetened fruits, gelatin cubes, sweet beans, nata de coco, kaong (seeds of sugar palm trees), jalea, and ube (made from purple yam). Anyway, going back to the photo, it says "Banana con yelo P20.00 only. Surpasses even Halo-halo". I really think Filipinos are great advertisers. =D
