MISSING MY PAN DE SAL

On cold - excuse me, REALLY cold - mornings like this, I really miss eating pan de sal. I really really wish there was a Filipino bakery nearby so I could go out at 6am and buy around 6-8 of those hot, delicious and tasty buns. I just love eating them - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The mere aroma of freshly baked pan de sal is enough to make my mouth water. And I love to eat pan de sal dipped in coffee or milo or hot chocolate (when i'm in the mood to make one). Or sometimes with kesong puti. Or sometimes with ChizWhiz. Or sometimes corned beef and cheese. Sarap! I remember my dad would buy pan de sal after we would attend dawn mass (Misa de Gallo) back home in Zamboanga. He would buy a bagful and come afternoon, my mom, sis and I would eat whatever would be leftover from breakfast for merienda. But now, all I have are some bland rolls that does nothing to my tastebuds. Sigh... My coffee sure is lonely without the pan de sal too...
