YOU ARE THE ONE

Ruther and I watched this movie the other day. It stars Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby. Baduy na kung baduy, but I liked the story a lot. It was funny, light and talagang Pinoy yung kwento. Ruther was teasing me throughout the movie kasi nakikilig daw ako. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sam and Toni. Plus, I really like the way Toni speaks Tagalog. Unlike other artistas who speak Taglish, she could babble a mile a minute and not get bulol. I miss watching flicks like this. When I was in Zamboanga, I used to watch Tagalog movies on Cinema One. Not only does it help with my Tagalog (okay, somewhat), but I really enjoy watching Filipino life in the movies. In Manila, I watch PBO and I catch some good movies from time to time. I'm not much of a Pinoy action movie fan because of a) the poor plot, b) unsatisfying stunts and effects and c) cheesy good guy and bad guy lines. I still go for the drama/romance/light comedy genre. So far, I enjoyed watching Milan, Abakada...Ina, Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa?, Dubai, Anak, Ang Tanging Ina and of course, most of Sharon Cuneta's movies. There are actually more movies but these are all I can remember. I forgot the last Tagalog movie I watched and enjoyed so when I watched You Are The One, I was glad that there's another Tagalog flick worth watching.
